DVD PLayback bug in Vista (and maybe other window)

Postby hoblingr » 31 Jul 2008 06:08

Hi,

I found a bug related to DVD image files playback on Vista, but it should be the same for other windows environments.
If my DVD folder is located in the current user Folder, the DVD menu will not work. Note that the user name contains the character 'é', that may be the problem.
If I move the same DVD image folder to C:/MyDVD for instance, it will work.
When it is in the folder 'Géraldine' (which is the user in Vista), when I open the DVD it is not recognized as a DVD (no chapter menu, the VLC popup menu do not contain any DVD entry, etc...) and when I reach the DVD menu it is not possible to select anything (eg play movie).
Is there a special place to post bugs ?

Thanks for this marvelous player,
Regards,

Stephane

Try nightlies. They have better Unicode support.
