wrong package name with gutsy nighties

Postby rm » 10 Feb 2008 16:29

It seems that something in ubuntu gutsy nightly build process broke. As you can see from http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/gutsy-i386/arch/ the packages are built but they're still called *20080130*. This way they're not recognized as upgraded by apt-get.

It's because no package has been built since this date.

The last modified date of the package change every day.

I have the same problem. I am stuck with the same vlc version from 2008.01.30. Latest is from today, but I don't know why did it get dependencies for newer libs that are not in gutsy repositories:

Code: Select all

libvlc1: Depends: libc6 (>=2.7-1) but 2.6.1-1ubuntu10 is to be installed Depends: libhal1 (>=0.5.10) but 0.5.9.1-6ubuntu5 is to be installed

Hmm it's my fault this time

As we build the ubuntu package with just a small patch over the debian nightly package, we had problem with some old libraries in gutsy so i migrate the build server to hardy but forgot to update the html page.
