Closed Caption

I am trying to get closed caption to work. I have compiled VLC 9.0 on suse 10.2 using the svn trunk. VLC compiled ok and I can execute the
application but can not turn on Closed Captioning, I have looked at the new features in the release notes and it says the closed captioning is
in this release. I have looked at the source code and the code for Closed Captioning is in there. Is it working? How do I turn on Closed
Captioning.

Any help would be appreciated,
