I can't get this to play:

The support advert plays but the content does not. The content is an mms stream, so I'm not sure that matters, but I am able to successfully get another mms stream to play just fine:
mms://mosradio-livetest.wm.llnwd.net/mosradio_livetest?MSWMExt=.asf
Any suggestions?

VLC 0.9.0 autoskips adverts in asx files. You can give it a try here: http://nightlies.videolan.org . The only other solution I can see is download the asx file, open it with a text editor, copy the 2nd url and open it in VLC.

Well the last URL in that asx file is:
mms://77.67.126.95:80/wm.npr.na-central/npr/atc/2007/07/20070718_atc_16.wma?v1st=&mt=1&primaryTopic=1032&assignedTopics=1090,1001,1003,1032&MSWMExt=.asf
and that doesn't play.
