Live audio stream from Windows

Postby magistral » 05 Jun 2007 15:43

Can someone tell me if it's possible to stream live audio from the Windows version of vlc. I can see lots of references to doing it from the Linux version but not from Windows. The vlc wizard only seems to offer streaming from a file or network source.

Any help appreciated.

What do you want to stream if it is not a directshow device, not a file and not a network source ???

I was hoping to be able to stream audio input from a sound card but vlc doesn't acknowledge the sound card as a capture device. Perhaps it isn't directshow compatible. I have a PC with an Osprey capture card; I will try it on there.
