VLC@Linux start via cron - set the position of the GUI-

Postby cyberdude » 08 May 2007 15:27

 Hi

I want to start a simple VLC-Relay on a Linux-Server with a cron-job.

When I start VLC at the comand line or cron-job (vlc -vvv .....) it opens the GUI on the X-Window system and i have to release it on the window to start the relaying.

What can i do to set the position of the opening VLC-GUI on the X-Window system on a given position?

Thanks in advantage.

Don't start the GUI ! vlc -Idummy or vlc -Irc are your friends.
