syntax of sout?

hi!

I'm just trying to analyse a variable sout command.
This is not the easiest thing, I think ...

In the Wiki @ http://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation: ... mmand_Line
the sout syntax is described, but now I'm trying to find out, which syntax this is and if there are any useful function out that I can use.

There are a lot of parallals to the JSON (http://www.json.org/) syntax.
Is this some kind of strange dialog ?

Or somthing else?

If have to do the analysing stuff withing JavaScript...

my advice is start reading the documentation of VLC then start using the advanced comman line

but first of all you should define whats your needs then you can search in forum and wiki to find your needs
