I'm using VLC 0.7.2 and am having troubles adjusting the aspect ratio of a film i just dloaded. It seems the video should be set for 16:9 however on inspection under Preferences|Video i see it set to 16:9. Extended GUI has nothing shown under the Aspect Ratio combobox and after highlighting 16:9 nothing happens to the display.
My question is why does altering the Aspect Ratio values under VLC cause no noticeable change in the playing video display?
