would be nice, if vlc would start with a fixed size. so that you can't decrease the size of the main-window (which would result in covered buttons and strange graphics ...)

I think the problem here kinda is that you never know how wide a menu is gonna be in a translation. I think this is gonna be very difficult to solve.

I think this was possible, but has been changed to not be possible. Why in all worlds do you want to do that anyway?

i've just noticed, that applications like microsoft's internet explorer or windows media player also have the same behaviour. so just forget my wishes in this point ;-)
