VLC plug in for Safari and Dreambox

Postby LWAA » 15 Feb 2007 14:23

I have a dreambox DM500 and have access to the tv station listing within Safari via enigma. I downloaded and installed the VLC plug in so I can stream TV to the mac from the dreambox, but I get a "no video" message on the screen instead of tv images - any idea what I need to do to get this working?

I'm using Safari 2.0.4 (build 419.3),
OSX 10.4.8
G5, 4gb RAM, 600gb internal HDs
100mbit ethernet
USRobotics wireless router hooked up to a Linksys wired router

thanks in advance.

won't work. You are going to need to run Firefox and install the VLC firefox plugin too. Thank you'll enjoy dreambox video on your mac. Works for me (dreambox 7025).

Hi maddope, am a complete newbie to this. I just bought a dreambox 2 essentially for tv use, do you have an idiot's guide to enable me to hook it up to my mac, with regards to channels and streaming via VLC? thx. gerlep

how do you install the plugin ? I downloaded it and installed it, but nothing seems different, firefox still asks me to save the video.m3u file, if I double click it it still opens in vlc...
