During Encoding of a video, VLC can't play another video

During Encoding of a video with Nero Digital, VLC can't play another video.

You will see 2 videos mixed up together (the video from the DVD which is currently encoded with Nero Digital Recode and the other video, you try to play with VLC)

Open your Task Manager while doing an encode, you will most likely notice that the CPU is using 100%. It is unlikely the system will do much of anything else correctly, much less play another video.
