Vobsubs are late

Hi!

I've been having problems using vobsubs. Well, they are always late for few minutes. After several minutes of a video playback, they kick normaly in and I can watch a movie with subs on. As much as I observed (it doesn't need to be true), they are late according to the percentage of the movie. For example: I watched an episode of a series (cca 45 mins) and a whole movie (cca 90 mins). And the delay is much longer in movie than in an episode. Anyone knows what to do, to make it right?

Assuming the subs were made for the video VOBSubs are not late or early this is generally a muxing issue or the sub was not made for the video which would be the FPS of the sub. In the case of VOBSub the info... is held in the IDX file.

This happens on every file lately. I just reset the preferences, but that "bug of some sort" still occurs. I'm not sure if it happens generally with any kind of subs or only using Vobsubs.
It is like the subs don't show up until approximately 10 mins of the movie or 5-6 mins of the episode. After this period the subs are synced just right and every thing's OK. Only thing is that the subs are just not there for the first few mins of the movie. A weird problem.

P.S.: I just read my first post again and noticed that I stated my problem wrong. Let me point out what's been bugging me. The problem is not in synchronization. The problem is that there are no subs visible at all for the period that I spoke of. After that period they become visible and they are working fine with no problem at all.

I have tested some 7 of the 9 formats both for timing issues and for start issues. It is a known fact that VLC does not recognize 00:00:00 and the very first sub text at the beginning of the video is not displayed. However, this is a very unusual condition in the real world. If the first sub takes place from 00:00:01 onward the sub is displayed. The same thing is true for a frame based format as there should not be a 0 frame so starting with frame 1 VLC will portray the sub. In a graphic based format (VOBSub) the timing info is contained in the IDX file.
