Can't choose subs in VCD

Postby nielsk » 24 Dec 2006 05:54

Hi!

I have here a Korean VCD and I know that it has English subs (at least it says that on the cover). Everytime I start the VCD I get only Korean subs. In the menu (Video -> Subtitles Track) Subtitles Track is grey, thus I cannot select any other subtitles.
Any ideas how I can get the alternative subs?

Apparently vlc doesn't recognize the subs on the vcd. Not much you can do about it.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Well, couldn't he try the File>"Open File. . ." dialog: then browse to the movie file on the cd, then check the box for "load subtitles file:" and browse the cd a bit to find the subs file. perhaps the name of the file isn't close enough to the movie file's name for VLC to find it (or the subtitle autodetection preference is set to a low number)?
