Creating VLC RPMs, is there a current specfile available?

Postby gvdbilt » 23 Dec 2006 22:06

Does anybody have a valid specfile to create ffmpeg and VLC RPMs?

I used the specfile that is included in the current 0.8.6 release, but I had to severely edit it to even make it walk through ffmpeg, and then finally it broke on libvlc_pic.a, a file that's not even created.

There must be people who create RPMs using a current specfile. Would anybody care to share it?

Ah, for Mandriva (2006.0).

However, if you have one for Fedora, I'll take it, updating that shouldn't take too much, it would probably work out of the box anyway.

Thanks for this, I didn't find this on the flac search, but I'll compare it to what I have done with the default specfile.

Perhaps it's useful for other people if I publish my work somewhere? If so, how can I put in on the forums or is the wiki a better place?
