ffmpeg cannot open decoder (MPEG4-Video)?

Postby MacZero » 28 Oct 2006 19:43

hello,
I'm trying to stream videos via vlc to my set top box (dbox) but I get troubles.

versions:
- ffmpeg-0.4.8
- vlc-0.8.4

I compiled ffmpeg with:

Code: Select all

./configure --enable-gpl --enable-mp3lame --enable-pp --enable-vorbis --enable-a52
and vlc with:

Code: Select all

./configure --disable-x11 --disable-xvideo --disable-gtk --disable-sdl --enable-ffmpeg --with-ffmpeg-mp3lame --disable-mad --enable-libdvbpsi --enable-a52 --enable-dts --enable-libmpeg2 --enable-dvdnav --enable-faad --enable-vorbis --enable-ogg --enable-theora --enable-faac --enable-mkv --disable-qt --disable-livedotcom --disable-wxwidgets --disable-ncurses --enable-release --with-ffmpeg-tree=/tmp/ffmpeg --disable-gui --disable-skins2 --disable-skins --disable-kde --disable-qt --enable-dvbpsi
The problem seems to be:

Code: Select all

. . [00000520] ffmpeg decoder debug: postprocessing disabled picture size invalid (0x640) [00000520] ffmpeg decoder error: cannot open codec (MPEG-4 Video) [00000520] ffmpeg decoder debug: libavcodec initialized (interface 3347968 ) . .
I really have no idea. I'm using debian and the needed libavcodec libaries are installed.

Maybe someone has an idea and can help me?
