feature request (Mac only)

I posted my request in the features request forum, but I was very surprised and happy to discover that the OS X version of VLC is the only one that has an on-screen controller!

Unfortunately, a developer responded that he doesn't have a Mac, so he can't help. So I am posting this request here.

The on-screen controller is very nice. It would be even nicer if the time display could be switched between time-elapsed and time-remaining. It would be nice if you could select which one you prefer in the preferences, but switch to the other mode by clicking on the clock for a temporary display of the other mode.

NicePlayer has part of this feature if you'd like to take a look.
