Default UI laguage issue

Postby Tombigel » 20 Sep 2006 21:54

My computer locale is Hebrew (though everything else is english).

When I install VLC It askes for the Install language, I choose English, but then VLC starts the UI in hebrew and I have to manualy change it.

Is it a bug or the language selection is for the installation process only?
I think it shoud be consistent.

btw
Is it posible to have a thinner english only version? many programs has 2 versions - english and international

The language choosen at the start of the installer is for the installer only.

inside VLC, the default language is the OS one.

We could try to pass the language from the installer to VLC but all the language of NSIS are not in VLC.

You can select your language in preferences/interfaces
