Stream video on internal network???

Postby oliver-vl » 15 Sep 2006 05:35

Guys,

I just got my VLC streaming video from my Linux FC4 box to computers inside my network. This is working fine.

Now I put another network card on this LInux stream server because I want to have it stream the video on its own network. That means, one card connected to the internet and the other for local area network.

Now the problem is, the video always streams out to the network card connected to the internet!!!! That means even if I swap the card, it's no use.

So how can I configure my computer or VLC to stream these videos through the network card connecter on my LAN???

Thanks.

Ok, I resolve it!

I used the route command and put it on my rc.local script.
I know I can configure the card straigt away under /etc/network directory but I need to figure it out later because there are times that the stream goes back to the other network card.
