I am new here and not shure if I met the best slot, however hope you can help me.
We have vlc on a linux-laptop streaming a video (of a webcam) to another computer.
For this constellation we want to change the codec/resolution on the fly without restarting the vlc-stream. Thus we need some remote comands for this, and I do not know which of them we can use/which interface is the best respectively.
(We want to make use of this scenario, for an application which is capable of immediatly reacting to changing band-width, without interrupting a video-connection
