How can I capture streaming video

Postby gtaillandier » 15 Jul 2006 13:24

Hello

I want to capture and save a video ( mms://dalwmod041.bcst.yahoo.com/b02r01/002/__S__/LAUvpwm9/10/23558792.wmv?
StreamID=23558792&pl_auth=4e1e8f78f3aec49145fa7d0f7a256648&ht=3630&xdata=
w._ijksqM7rjCoa9snJQlA-39642748-171185314&b=ae13jhp21guf0&s=791030118)

but I can't.
It seems me that VLC receives something because of the progress bar, but there's no sound and no video.

Can someone tell me how I can do to save the wmv video file ?

Sincerely.

VLC can't transcode WMV3 or it's HD counterpart. This is also true for audio. In the next release ffmpeg will be handling this and hopefully it will work.

You can look at Messages during the transcode and know well before hand, if the resulting file will be successful. :wink:
