Version 0.8.5 can't play some FLV movies (ffmpeg related)

Postby Drahken » 16 Jun 2006 13:51

While 0.8.5 can play most of the FLV movies I've downloaded from youtube.com, it stops playing some of them a few seconds in. According to the messages, ffmpeg seems to be the culprit. It should be noted that 0.8.4a can play these films fine, and that if I use 0.8.4a to convert them to mpeg, then 0.8.5 can play them fine.
EXAMPLES:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LHZxPWfhP5c (use keepvid.com to download it)
http://drahken.t35.com/ffmpeg-error-2.txt <-the messages dump from after it fails
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LgLRiF4XYjo (use keepvid.com to download it)
http://drahken.t35.com/ffmpeg-error.txt <-the messages dump from after this one fails
http://drahken.t35.com/non-error.txt <-the messages dump from a working flv film for comparison purposes.

I reported this when 0.8.5 was first released

I considered replacing the plugin/codec that handled this but I couldn't figure out which of the 195 it was.
