VLC doesn't fade when it goes to/from fullscreen!

Oh, give me a break you say, but I think this is an important part of the OS X experience. Every ("proper", I guess) thing in OS X fades or animates smoothly and it adds value to the user experience.

I understand that this may not be a priority, but I wish to know if this is something the developers are interested in fixing?
