ActiveX properties

I have been using the ActiveX control with Borland C++ Builder. I have been able to playback and control video but now need torecord it. Looking at the posts I believe that most answers lie in the options variable but can find little documentation on the content and format of the items that can be accessed. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
