hdx4 stuck mid movie

I dont know if it the right forum ..
I'm pretty sure its NOT vlc specfic ..

but I'l try anyway ( I did search ) , I have this old movie that gets "stuck" at exactly the same place after 30+ min.

stuck = video freeze sound continues , the codec is hdx4 ,hdx4 player does the same , can I fix this somehow ?

I don't know what an hdx4 is and I thought I was real familiar with file formats and containers??? Man, I had to look this one up. I seems that it is a player providing compatibility for 3gp, .avi or .mp4 and provides an encoder(s) to transcaode media files. But it doesn't appear to create a new format or container called hdx4

What does Media Information say about the file?

Given that the problem is consistent and you have tried other players without success, the file is probably damaged. You could try to load the file into an editor and cut out the bad section, but this may be allot more work than it is worth, only you can make this decision.
