playlist.load() control

Postby tvtalkshowshigh » 25 Mar 2006 11:38

Is it possible to specify which playlist to load from within a skin? I realise that this sounds like an utterly rediculous idea but it's what i'd like to do.

i've tried playlist.load(myplaylist.m3u) but that's illegal.

is it possible, and if not would it be quick and easy to make possible?

thanks,

mark.

No it's not possible without hacking the code slightly. I don't plan to do that, as it would make unportable skins (the skin wouldn't work nicely without the playlist file).

Why not running 'vlc myplaylist.m3u' instead?

I see. no problem, I can work around it. I'm using vlc for a kiosk audio/video player system. The idea was going to be to just use vlc for the interface and switch playlists from within the skin but i can do it fairly easily, but not quite as cleanly with and hta or some other system to launch vlc with different command line parameters.

thanks,

mark.
