Autoplay(start) Controller not operating

Using iCal alarm and Wtap to log into a supported audio stream the VLC control initiates at "pause" mode. I have to manually click it to "play" mode to commence audio stream. I am using 8.4 VLC.

Any suggestions on how to have controller initiate automatically in play mode?

Goto in Preferences-> Playlist -> General
1. Disable "Repeat current item"
2. Disable "Repeat all"
Save changes..
Close VLC and test.

If no autoplay, then..

1. Goto in Preferences -> Input/Codecs -> Demuxers -> Playlist
Disable "Auto Start"
Save changes and restart VLC

2. Goto in Preferences -> Input/Codecs -> Demuxers -> Playlist
Reenable "Auto Start"
Save changes and TEST.

If autoplay work, then NO ENABLE "Repeat .." options in Playlist preferences or autoplay was stopped again.
