Can't play youtube videos on VLC

So I'm on Arch Linux with the latest VLC, and when I tried to play a Youtube video in VLC, i got this erro:

Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'i removed this link because i saw my public IP in there, but its a googlevideo.com link'. Check the log for details.

. I couldn't find anyone else talking about this from a google search, so idk if it's just me, or if youtube did something weird.
