Glitchy video, What could the problem be?

Postby LaoQiXian » 14 Nov 2024 05:24

Image

Hi, many of the videos I'm playing on VLC 3.0.21 show the glitchy appearance you can see on the accompanying image.

Some videos used to play fine and now they don't, other videos play without issue, in this particular case the file indicates the following characteristics on the title: 1080p.BluRay.DDP5.1.x265.10bit

I've already tried disabling hardware acceleration and setting video output to Open GL and DirectX with no positive results.

My GPU is a 4060 portable with the latest drivers paired with an intel i9-13900H on Windows 11

All of the files play without problems in AnyDVD 3.3.11, so the problem is particular to VLC player

I've already searched the forum for posts on the topic but I haven't been able to locate a solution.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of your original problematic file to WeTransfer.com or Disroot.org and then post the link to the file here.
