RTSP vs. HTTP Streaming

Postby Scott JHU-ECE » 25 Jan 2006 20:34

Can RTSP streaming traverse routers/NAT's the way HTTP streaming does? I was hoping for something a bit faster than the relative slowness that is HTTP streaming.

I take it that means RTSP in general can traverse routers, it's just not supported in VLC yet?[/i]

RTSP/TCP isn't able to do that yet (at least, not on the server side).
