Feature Request: option to set library to file server

For context, I use VLC on my phone to listen to music. I love the UI but in order to use it I have to have all my songs downloaded locally onto my phone. Now I know you can download and stream from a file server, but it’s under a separate interface where you’re not able to shuffle, make playlists, or anything of the sort. I think it would be awesome to be able to set like the entire file library to use the file server so that the files from the server appear the same way in the app as ones that are locally downloaded would. Think something like a plex server but self hosted and using VLC as the GUI.
