Cast to Mi Box S from iPhone stuck

Hi,
I have a Mi Box S with chromecast built in, similar to this one https://www.mi.com/global/product/mi-box-s/. I can't play mp3 music.
Steps:
- Open VLC app on iPhone
- Connect to the Mi box using cast. It connects and on the TV I can see that it is connected.
- Play a mp3.
The player is stuck and does not move. On TV it is stuck.

It works fine on an ordinary Google chromecast device. I'm on the same wifi and I have restarted all devices. Nothing helps.
The big commercial apps like Spotify, Youtube or doCast all works fine on Mi Box.
Does VLC have problems with Chromecast built in devices?

VLC on Windows works, but sometimes it is also stopped a while, like for 20 seconds, and then plays again.

Anyone who know about this? Is it a bug?
