Android Auto Queue

Trying to use VLC with Android Auto.
Is there a way to increase the number of items shown in the queue?
I understand that Google imposes a limit from a safety perspective but it seems to be much shorter than other music players, e.g. PowerAmp.

Google limits what Android Auto can show on screen while the car is moving. Currently, we show a list of 15 songs, with the playing song in the middle. If we tried to show more than 15 songs, a "Search By Name" option would appear, taking up extra space on the screen. Do you have a specific number of entries in mind, or would you just prefer the entire queue?
