Streaming security camera

Postby Garnerwest » 30 Jan 2024 07:32

Greetings all........

For the past year,or so,I have been using VLC to stream one only security camera from a Wyze2 camera via rtsp, to an Amazon Gen3 firestick
to a standalone monitor..................my system is windows 10 on a PC.

With every update to the firestick I would need to re-establish the video stream, which was quite easy by simply opening VLC and selecting
a tab named 'History' and the stream would commence, however on the past few times I have needed to re-establish the stream the tab I
called 'History' is no longer there, and I am not sure if 'History' was a part of the Gen3 firestick or part of VLC ??.

Can anyone confirm if this 'History' tab was a part of, VLC or Firestick.?

My reason for the inquiry is that my login details to access the camera stream is quite complicated and I am 84 with poor eyesight
and the 'History' option was perfect for me to operate.

Whilst on the subject of VLC rtsp streaming, is there a way to save login details when I am streaming to my PC, although I can copy/paste
which I cannot do on the firestick.

Sorry if I have been a bit long winded, but thanks in advance to any reply.
