Audio out of Sync

Postby dsscottage » 16 Nov 2023 22:01

I'm having trouble with some videos where the audio and video are out of sync.

I'm using
-NVIDA Shield Android
-VLC for Android
-audio set to passthrough to my 7.1 A/V receiver

Some videos are out of sync on VLC for Android on the Shield.

These same videos are in sync when played on VLC on my PC as well as other players on the Shield (Gallery, MX Player, XYZ Player).

I've looked at the details of each video (Audio format, Writing App, Writing library, number of channels) and I can't see anything consistent in those that are in and out of sync.

All videos from other sources are in sync (Cable, WDTV media player, DVD, VCR, Amazon Prime).

I deleted and reinstalled VLC on the Shield but it didn't fix anything.

The problem seems to have started a couple of months ago and I don't remember it being an issue before that.

Does anyone have a suggestion about what else I can look at?

Resolution.....
I can't find the cause of the problem and there are no suggestions here.

Therefore, I've dumped VLC on my Shield and am now using MX Player and it is working perfectly.
