This pertains to connecting an USB music folder to an iPhone/iPad via a Lightning Male to USB Female Adapter

I was hoping VLC iOS would be more like the PC version. It is difficult to use on an iPhone.
My plan being a novice at iOS was to attach my USB music folder to the iPhone, and play all music folders/songs on the USB. Did not want to load all my music files onto my iPhone - too much storage requirements.
Bottom line, you can only play one song at a time. And then must select another song. BORING! Cannot select an entire USB connected music folder. I confirmed this with Apple support. Might not be totally a VLC issue. The tech at Apple said he would pass my situation on to Apple development. Not holding my breath as Apple, like all others wants to make money. I could not buy enough storage for my iPhone XR to support even one USB.
Wondering if instead of the attached USB to my iPhone, I could use Cloud Service's/iCloud?!
Any help with this if my post is wrong? Or other solutions not to need to download the USB music folders to my iPhone XR?
