How to mute bgm with VLC?

I'm using iPadOS and VLC. I use it to watch TV shows. I'm trying to utilize the equalizer, which I'm not too familiar with, to turn off the background music and only maintain the voices. Is there a particular setting for the preamp that I should use to help me with this?

We don't support that scenario with the equalizer. This requires a designated filter. In fact, VLC includes a filter to remove all voices for karaoke so you can sing along and what you want is the inverse. It was not done so far.
