Time v3.2 Extension

Postby Esprit » 09 May 2023 12:25

I downloaded Time v3.2, followed all the instructions and on VLC I see that the extension is loaded but there is no way to make it work.
I use "VLC 3.0.18 Vetinari" on Dell OS Windows 10 Pro/21H2/19044.2846 with Intel i7 processor
Has anyone had the same problem and solved it?
Thank you

Can you see dialog box window? Any messages (Tools > Messages)? Is "\lua\intf\time_inft.lua" installed and activated? You can check "vlcrc" file in a text editor: lua-intf=time_intf, extraintf=luaintf.

Hi Mederi
Thank you for your answer. I looked at what you indicated but everything seems normal to me. I am attaching you the Google Drive link where you can find screenshots of VLC and my "vlcrc" file. Maybe you find something I haven't noticed. I thank you

So the "time_ext.lua" script works properly. The "time_intf" is the issue. Please generate a log file by starting VLC through a command line or a batch script file (.bat), play a video file and then close VLC:
"%ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --verbose=2 --file-logging --logfile="vlc-log.txt"

lua debug: Found lua interface script: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\intf\time_intf.lua
The script has been loaded without errors. Is there anything in the logs if you also try to play a video? Probably not. Then try to reset the preferences in VLC (https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:ResetPrefs) and start again. You can also try to change video output module and/or disable hardware acceleration in VLC preferences.
