XBox Series X smb issues

I am able to stream from upnp through different third party programs fine with vlc on xbox seires x. I can stream through kodi no problem through smb works great. When I try to load from smb on vlc for xbox seires x I get your input can not be open the MRI. check the log file. I dunno where the log file is any ideas how to get it working?
