FEATURE REQUEST: AUDIO WAVEFORM PROGRESS BAR

I am writing to request a feature for VLC media player that would allow me to see the audio waveform in the progress bar. This feature would be helpful for quickly skipping and seeking over silent parts of the audio or video files. I have searched online but I could not find any plugin or software that provides this functionality for VLC. Therefore, I kindly ask you to consider adding this feature to VLC as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention and your great work on VLC media player.

Very nice request ! That is possible in another media players, also. I think that VLC focus general on every-day users, and not
so much on extrele editors, but anyway would be nice to see that in reality !

bump, this feature would be mad useful to figure out parts of video that doesnt have audio and stuff
