Either creating content or playing content at 9600x1080

Postby ralbright » 09 Jan 2023 06:50

I have 5 projectors arranged in a room landscape format plugged into a splicer device that effectively gives me one display with a resolution of 9600x1080. (This is for an escape room that is using a lot of projectors to display content on 3 of the walls.) Maximum resolution that I have been able to do is 8192x1080. So when displaying that full screen using the latest version of VLC, I get some black borders on the left and right side of the video.
How do I really get the video to either, STRETCH to the full display width of 9600x1080 or render that file correctly into 9600x1080. One requirement is that it must be playable in VLC.
