iPhone XR cannot find library

New user to forums here, been using VLC on PC for several years mainly as a video player only. Today I just cannot support Apple and their restrictions on how I should enjoy the music I have bought and tell me what programs I can use to listen to said music... sorry, that rant started on its own due to a high level of frustration... I will simply stop now.

I have installed VLC for iOS version 3.3.10(440) on my iPhone XR. thru iTunes all my music is on my iPhone and playable via Apples Music app. I can see the files on iTunes on my PC, all on my phone. When I open VLC on my phone, I simply cannot find the files, anywhere. I have read and reread so many of the posts here, trying various fixes to find those files on my phone, all to no avail. I want to use the files on my phone, not via network etc.

Forgive me for being so stupid and ignorant! I'm not a programmer, not much of a tech geek at 65 yrs old. I just want to listen to my music! Can someone please, please just walk me thru getting my music to show up and playable on my phone? Please?

Well, it's pretty disappointing to not get a single response to what seemed like a pretty straight forward question.

At this point I am going to say I 'm glad I did not support a non-responsive software support company with any monetary contribution. I will say my good-byes and look for another app! Hope I can help others by steering them away from this garbage!
