Why do one of these files result in skipped/dropped frames and the others don't?

What is the cause?

(1) and (3) play just fine on my 2018 iPad Pro 3rd Gen and 2016 MBP Intel.

But, (2) only plays fine on my M1 MBA.

Playing (2) on my 2018 iPad Pro 3rd Gen and 2016 MBP Intel causes what I assume are dropped frames every 2-5 seconds usually, and every 10-30 seconds at best.

I am streaming this over my network from my NAS via plain HTTP or SMB or UPnP/DLNA.

But, the results are the same, despite setting network buffers to maximum on all of these protocols.
