Control VLC via Telnet on Windows: No GUI

Postby Sempervivum » 09 Jul 2022 12:32

Hi there,
I'm trying to control VLC via Telnet. This command for starting

Code: Select all

vlc.exe -I telnet --telnet-host=localhost --telnet-port=4212 --telnet-password="admin"
(found it in another thread on here) is working as far as I am able to connect to the player by Putty afterwords.
However there is no GUI visible.
How to fix this?
Best regards - Ulrich
