movie thumbnails from cover art

Postby bigburd05 » 06 Jun 2022 17:40

I have a an SD Card with some movies, but the thumbnails are the generated frame grabs that VLC has created. I want to use movie art so my young kids can recognise each without reading the titles or interpreting the random screen grabs, but I can't figure out how to get it to happen.
The movie files are typically MP4, MKV, M4V or AVI.
I'm using VLC 3.4.4 on Android 12 on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite.
Is VLC capable of getting the movie art from a website (e.g. the Movie Database) or if not, what do I need to do to get it to use thumbnail graphic files I copy on manually?
Cheers

Unfortunately neither are possible for now unfortunately. We plan to do that in a future version though.
