Connecting to Macbook Pro via Wifi

Postby Bigtinypaul » 07 Apr 2022 13:35

Hi.

Previously I used to be able to connect from my iPhone to my Macbook via Network>Sharing via Wi-Fi. I could just turn it on, then on my computer input the url that was shown and viola, could transfer files to and from my iPhone.

This feature no longer. When i input the URL on my mac, the browser (Chrome, same as what I've used before) acts like it's trying to reach the URL, but then I get the following message:

This site can’t be reached. "URL" took too long to respond.

Any ideas what the problem is?!

Does the URL look any different from what it looked like in the past?

Sounds like a local network issue to me. Consider typing the IP instead of the local DNS hostname and restarting your WiFi box.

I'm having the same issue with it. I don't own a Macbook but I do own a Windows. I was having an issue with the Windows 11 and Windows 10 Pro but not Windows 10 Home. It seems to be an issue with the newer versions of computers.
