Video/audio speed are not in sync with some DVD rips

Postby BeethovenZmafia » 26 Nov 2021 17:49

I apologize if this is a repeat topic; I couldn't find anything recent (from 2021) in the forum search.

I have ripped several DVDs without issues in the past. That said I'm currently experiencing issues with the audio being severely ahead of the video. Typically with previous successful attempts I would apply parameters / filters to the rip, i.e. setting a specific bitrate or frame rate, applying Gradfun, sharpen video filters and Video filtering using a chain of video filter modules, however, I've tried default conversion settings as well. This specific DVD is not new by any means either; 2006 version of 'Caddyshack.' Does anyone have a suggestion for how/if I can adjust the speed of the video recording for the rip? I don't have issues with playing the DVD itself with VLC. It only happens during playback of the ripped file. If at all possible, I don't particularly want to do a "record screen" of the DVD, but will if forced to. The file quality seems more improved if actually ripped in my opinion. Thanks in advance for your expertise and wide knowledge base.

My normal profile settings for video conversion are as follows:
h.265 + mp3(mp4)
Encapsulation: MP4/MOV
Video Codec: H-265
Bitrate: Default
Frame Rate: Default/Same as source
Resolution:
Scale: Auto
Width: Auto
Height: Auto
Filters: (normally)
Gradfun video filter
Sharpen video filter
Video filtering using a chain of video filter modules

Audio Codec:
Encoding parameters:
Codec: MP3
Bitrate: 256 kbps
Channels: 2
Sample Rate: 44100 Hz
Filters:
Audio tempo scaler synced with rate
Dynamic range compressor
EQ 10-Bands

Hi, can you share a sample in private?
