Playlist song Date column is just the year

I wanted to see the full date to order songs by, such as year-month-day, but right-clicking the columns and enabling Date just shows the file's year (which I'm assuming it's getting from the file's year, not the song tag year).

As you can see, "Date" only shows year, when this column should probably instead be named "Year", and a proper Date column should be selectable to show year-month-date (hopefully in a readable and sortable format).

VLC only pulls whatever is in the ID3v1 year tag, which is only 4 characters long. Existing files only have YYYY recorded in these field tags, if anything at all.

ID3V2 includes support for recording date, release date, and more.

So, VLC can't have a column for file date? Like Windows File Explorer has. Sorting by 4-digit year for videos made in the same year is kind of pointless. I was hoping it had some way to sort by file date, or some way to have that added.
