Empty playlist on opening a file - can it be done already?

Postby AnyHog » 11 Jun 2021 15:01

Is it possible to automatically dump all
previosly opened entries in the playlist
when opening a single file?

Can it be made a default?

I suspect this is already possible,
but can't figure out whether and how.

I have a large collection of streaming files (pls, m3u, etc.) and podcasts.
I find it confusing and not at all useful that if opening a file fails or takes time,
the player goes back to playing previously opened ones.

That's a reasonable behavior when willfully opening several files or willfully adding files with looping set to on.

But I don't need to play ANYTHING if any one file fails.
So I constantly manually remove files from the playlist just to test ONE file.

Can it be done?

Yeah, the automatic buildup of a playlist as you open file after file is really weird and makes no sense.
