Where's the log?

Where's the log?

Postby Browseruk » 01 Mar 2021 12:23

I attempted to view a movie, a dialog tells me it failed to load "see log for details".

Where the "log"?

And why force me to scrabble around in the filesystem to find out what went wrong? Why not JUST DISPLAY THE LOG INFO IN THE DIALOG?

(I'm assuming that this problem is generic across OSs; hence posting here; please do not penalise me if I guessed wrong and this is specific to Windows. I don't use those other OSs, so how would I know?)

So "log" == "Messages"! Thanks.

(Still makes me wonder why it couldn't display the log message in the dialog in place of the "see log for more details". Especially for something as trivial and commonplace as "Couldn't open file.")
