Order of display of SBV captioning

Postby demostrom » 08 Jan 2021 16:12

I need captioning in the videos I am creating, so I am using Youtube to create an SBV file, then editing that. The SBV files Youtube creates allow up to three lines of text on the screen at a time; if the file calls for overlap, Youtube scrolls the older one up and puts the new line underneath.

In VLC, the behavior with multiple lines seems much more random. Sometimes the new line is put above the old one, sometimes it is put below. Is this behavior configurable?

I am running VLC version 3.0.11, on Windows 10 20H2.
